Edelweiss

This is the story where dreams turn into reality, where desire becomes love, where you have something
special that you have to share with everyone.
Nothing is impossible, nothing is out of reach … the message of this story is for children and their parents.

Have you ever started reading a book and after a few sentences you literally fall in love with it? You get a
strange feeling, as if you were the actors of everything that is written in it. You simply find yourself. This is
exactly what happened to me, with this wonderful story, which I then had the honor to illustrate, for all of us…

Hello! I’m Maka.
This tigress is my friend. If you’ve ever thought tigers are scary, I’ll reassure you, these tigers are so
wonderful, you’ll wish they were your neighbors. The tigress really wants everyone to be happy. If you
happen to meet her somewhere, there is nothing she wouldn’t do to make you happy.
She is often stubborn. Oh yeah! Tigers are very stubborn and when they plan something, they don’t stop
until they succeed. Just like in this book.
And I have to tell you something. I read “Edelweiss” just a little bit before you did. And you know what?
Well, you are all here! Mhm. And you. Yes, yes you! And your friend is here. And that little baby from the
neighborhood that cries all the time. Honestly, I hope her mum will read this book, too. And if you still hear
the baby crying, lend her mum this book, I’m sure it will help her sleep more peacefully.
And you? Read it just before going to sleep. Or with friends. Or with a younger brother and sister.
Read it out loud, so your parents will hear you read. I can assure you, they will join. Who doesn’t love a
snuggle and a nice book. Sit comfortably in your beds and read together, I’m sure it will be more fun for
everyone.
I’m leaving now, new adventures and swimming in Lake Sunflower are waiting for me.
See you there!
